/ MY STORY

Hello! My name is Vincent Johnson, and I'm a senior at Georgetown University, coming back from my experience abroad in Japan for nearly a year (August 2023-May 2024). 

One of the most valuable and treasured moments I had was spending time with my host family, and my host mother not only cooked for me, but often hosted others, and ran her own cooking business out of her home. She was an inspiration and one of the many reasons I want to return to Japan and resume life there.

Baking is a way to connect with people, and in continuing to bake both the recipes I've known and loved and recipes I've learned from my short time abroad, I hope to continue that connection with those people I've left behind, and bridge new relationships with those in the community around me.
